故事 The Story
An Ancient Town called "Phoenix"
杨丕源 Yang Piyuan arrived in the 凤凰古城 Phoenix Ancient City located in 湖南 Hunan on January the 1st of 2018. Some say the name is derived from the lingering of the mythical birds (phoenixes) that stayed in the area because they were capitivated by its beauty. Others say it is the geographical landscape in the area that looks like a phoenix in flight.
He flew off from 长沙 Changsha, the capital of 湖南 Hunan, to 吉隆坡 Kuala Lumpur. Before the evening flight, he visited the tomb of 马王堆 Mawangdui. The interesting site was located next to a hospital.

Later in the year he visited the provinces of 云南 Yunnan, 广东 Guangdong and 陕西 Shaanxi.
If natural geography in the 凤凰古城 Phoenix Ancient City is responsible for its allure, then human architecture is the reason why the airport in 昆明 Kunming, the capital of 云南 Yunnan, is magnificent aesthetically. Called the 昆明长水国际机场 Kunming Changshui International Airport, it was opened in 2012 CE.
His first place of visit was the 云南省博物馆 Yunnan Provincial Museum.
During this trip to 云南 Yunnan, he also climbed the Dragon Gate also known as the 西山龙门 Western Hills Dragon Gate.This would be his ___ hill in China he climbed up.
On his way down, he decided to take the cable - something he would repeat doing in 2025 CE on his trip to 揭阳 Jieyang in his _____ trip to 广东 Guangdong.
In 广东 Guangdong he visited 珠海 Zhuhai. However, he arrived quite late in 广州 Guangzhou and had to spend a night at the 广州白云国际机场 Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The beauty of the airport made it a tourist destination by itself.
He got himself some snacks from an unmanned convenience store (EasyGo).
In the early morning, he took the Metro to the High Speed Rail station. He boarded the rapid train to 珠海 Zhuhai, where he visited the The 4th China Education Innovation Expo.
After the Expo, he visited the New Yuanming Palace located at the foot of the Stone Forest Mountain.
The next day he went to the 珠海长隆海洋王国 Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom.

广东省博物馆 Guangdong Museum
In the museum 杨丕源 Yang Piyuan bought a 广东博物馆 Guangdong Museum book that was published in 2011 CE.
He also revisited the Guangdong Tower (Canton Tower). But this time, he did not go inside as he did in 2014 CE. Instead he spent one evening on the opposite side of the river waiting for the sun to down and the lights of the tower to be turned on. From there, he headed to the 广州白云国际机场 Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to fly to Malaysia.
杨丕源 Yang Piyuan took the train that travelled along the highest plateau in the world in his journey to visit the Zhumulangmafeng (aka Everest) base camp.
When he got there, he was rewarded with a golden Zhumulangmafeng as the evening sunlight ricochetting of the surface of the peak.
