Zhejiang is a coastal province on China's southeastern shore,
with a deeply indented coastline and over 3,000 islands—the most
of any Chinese province.
Its terrain is famously "seven parts mountain, one part water, two
parts farmland," featuring lush tea-growing highlands, the iconic
West Lake in Hangzhou, and a vibrant private-sector economy
centered around cities like Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Wenzhou.
