故事 The Story
杨丕源 Yang Piyuan, going into his second year at the 大学 dàxué university, travelled with his coursemates to 曼谷 Màngǔ Bangkok, 泰国 Tàiguó Thailand. They took an overnight train to Hat Yai and then changed to another and proceeded to the capital, Bangkok. There he stayed at the 大学 dàxué Chulalongkorn University in 曼谷 Màngǔ Bangkok.
Valleys 谷 gǔ and gorges 峡谷 would become characters that would appear many times in 杨丕源 Yang Piyuan's travels. Due to his love for climbing mountains, he would come across many valleys 谷 gǔ and gorges 峡谷 in his travels.
About ten students of the university volunteered to host the Malaysian group of students.
The wonderful Thai hosts took Yang Piyuan and his coursemates on a tour to 大城府 Ayutthaya, Patpong and Cheng Mai.
Patpong was what they called a "red light district". Today it is an entertainment district in Bangkok's Bang Rak District. It caters mainly (but not exclusively) to expatriates and tourists from other countries.
杨丕源 Yang Piyuan was ushered by his newfound 泰 Thai friends into a dancing / striptease club. An entertainer approached him and sat next to him. Being timid and naive, he literally jumped from his seat and scooted out from the joint.
Almost a decade later, things were different for him. He went on a second and his last of visit of a striptease club. That time was in San Diego in the 美国 United States of America.
