Shenyang North Station is a major railway hub in northeastern China, serving high-speed and conventional trains. It opened in 1990 after replacing the older Shenyang North Station built in 1927, which was demolished to make way for the current structure. The original 1927 station was designed by Japanese architects during the South Manchuria Railway era and featured a distinctive clock tower that was preserved in photographs but not rebuilt.
